Course Description:

In the module of Digital Health, you will learn about current challenges of the healthcare sector and how digital solutions can help overcome them. Specifically



  • know and understand current developments (e.g. digitalization, urbanization, demographic change) and their impact on the structure and care of healthcare systems (e.g. telemedicine)

  • critically examine digital infrastructures and the importance of interdisciplinary approaches

  • get an understanding of the application of technologies (e.g. eHealth, mHealth, wearables) in healthcare and awareness of current national and international developments

  • ability to assess the opportunities and challenges of new technology such as artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction in healthcare

  • critically reflect on the legal and ethical challenges in digital healthcare

  • evaluate the acquired knowledge in connection with sustainable business models in the healthcare sector
